About the artist
Two-ink risograph seascapes from the Hardangerfjord: a grainy indigo-and-coral duotone, a low horizon, a single flat sun, and one small silhouette near the waterline. Quiet, matte, and left mostly open water and sky.
See all by Mirela SætreA lone sailboat holds the last warm minute of the day, one figure at the tiller, the coast already gone to shadow. Mirela Sætre builds the scene from two inks only: a deep indigo for the water and a soft coral for the sun that refuses to hold. They meet in a grainy band along a low horizon, and everything else is left open water and open sky. The flat coral sun sits apart from the boat, quiet rather than dramatic. The grain in the paper, she says, is salt, not texture.
